I own more than one company — can they file as a single tax group?
If I own two or more companies, can I file one corporate tax return instead of one per company?
It's possible by forming a “Tax Group,” subject to a specific ownership percentage between the parent and subsidiary companies, matching financial years, and other accounting and legal conditions. Once formed, the group is treated as a single entity for corporate tax purposes and files one consolidated return.
This is not automatically the cheaper option — sometimes a specific company within the group is better off filing separately (for example, if it carries losses or a free zone exemption). At RASEEKH, we run both scenarios before deciding the structure that fits.
