Country-by-Country Reporting — is my company actually required to file one?

التساؤل

Is Country-by-Country Reporting the same thing as regular transfer pricing documentation, or something different?

الإجابة

Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) is required only from multinational groups whose Ultimate Parent Entity is based in the UAE and whose consolidated global revenue exceeded AED 3.15 billion in the preceding financial year. The report gives a consolidated picture of how the group's revenue, profit, and employees are distributed across every country it operates in, and is filed annually, entirely separate from the regular tax return.

The difference from standard transfer pricing documentation: transfer pricing focuses on specific related-party transactions and justifying their pricing, while CbCR gives a group-wide overview without transaction-level detail. Because the threshold is so high, the vast majority of UAE businesses fall entirely outside its scope, and if you'd like to confirm exactly where your group stands relative to it, RASEEKH can review it for you precisely.
